The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is now holding 'After-School' classes for the New Cairo British International School & Modern Education School!

The students of these schools are having a blast exploring and learning through play. Our classes are giving them an opportunity to be on their feet and learn in ways that are completely different from a traditional school format. Our classes help them feel like they can express themselves as we help them with their confidence, self-esteem, communication & performance skills!

Why Developmental Drama is So Vital to a Child.

It was Plato, the infamous Greek Philosopher, who said "Life must be lived as play". At the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy, our classes are geared towards one direction: Discovery through Play.

Drama isn't just about acting. Drama is a tool that can be used to develop confidence, self-esteem, communication & performance skills.

Imagine a child who faces trouble speaking around strangers. Who tends to be quiet in situations that intimidate them. Now, imagine that same child guided by constant positive reinforcement, a safe environment, and constant challenges to their imagination that helps them let go and allow their personality to prevail. That is our goal at the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy.

We strive that our students do just that. Through Drama, we aim to relax the tensions placed upon a child's personality by giving them the opportunity to have a voice. The one way that we can do that is in a playful environment.

Once we show our students the endless roads of their imagination, their confidence automatically increases. Even Einstein declared "Imagination is more important than Knowledge".

Youth Drama Class is All Play & Work at the Same Time!

The Youth Theatre class in Arabella has been ongoing now for the first 2 weeks of the academic year. The class covers a dynamic, comprehensive program that works to develop ages of 13-18 to increase their confidence & speaking ability to building blocks for those interested in an acting career. 

All smiles and laughter, this class keeps our students engaged and gives them a chance to release some stress they may have from their hectic student lives. While it may seem like all laughs and giggles, the development of self-esteem, confidence, performance & speaking skills of the students is happening without them even feeling like they are doing any work. 

The class is held every Wednesday at Arabella Country Club at 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

Starting October 1st, the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy will be hosting classes in Zamalek! Join us at Sane Egypt, as we embark on a journey to discover our students' confidence, self-esteem, performance & communication skills.

Classes Start This Week!

The Helen O'Grady Drama Cairo Academy opens its classes this week. 

Several studios anticipate the start of Term 1, as teachers will be building up to help with the self-esteem, confidence, performance and communication skills of our students.

There is still time to register your child to our classes that host our world-wide curriculum! 

CSA Maadi will have an registration hour on the 18th of September 2016 at 11:00am to 12:00pm. You will find our teacher, Moustafa Khalil, sitting in the garden at CSA.

Helen O'Grady Drama Academy Eid el-Adha Camp!

That's right! The Helen O'Grady Drama Cairo Academy will be hosting a Camp during the Eid el-Adha Holiday. Summer might have ended and schools begun, but this is a perfect opportunity to still experience that Summer fun before it's too late!

The camp will be for children aged 4 to 12.

Our dates will be 13, 14, 15 September 2016. We start at 10:00am until 3:00pm.

Activities such as Soccer - Goals & Dunks, Swimming &Water Fun, Kickball & Tennis, Chilling with Arts & Crafts, Drama - Broadway Under The Lights, Wacky Races, Adventure Escapade, and so much more will be led by our trained leaders.

Our aim for this camp is to hold a fun positive environment for those who stay in Cairo during the holiday.
